Will the Corsair AX760i, $142 after rebate, be enough to run a 3570k/7970 Crossfire? It has 63.3A on the +12V.

It's not quite as obscenely priced as the 860i, $176 after rebate.

I will be gaming at 1440p, but am thinking about dabbling in LiteCoin mining, so I may undervolt the cards. I'd imagine there'd be no need for an overclock on the cards, beyond what I can get when undervolted.

Would this be too much stress on the PSU? I think 7970 Crossfire would be around 600-650W. Putting the PSU under 78.9%-85.5% load 24/7. The PSU would then be running at around 91% efficiency.

My other thought would be to pick up the OCZ ZX 850W @ $114 after rebate. OCZ would be under 70.5%-76.5% load (@ 600-650W) 24/7, running at around 89% efficiency.

Any thoughts?

And thank you very much!

The one you have is more than enough, even with an OC.
For bitcoin mining you want to OC the Core speeds and underclock the memory...

Thank you so much for the quick response.

I was concerned with the high load %. But you think with a quality PSU I should be able to run it at 80-85% of max 24/7? I'm posting my system below, I would think it'd draw around 600-650W?

Specs:
3570k
7970 X-fire
2x8GB DDR3
3xSSD (boot, RAID 0)
1xHDD 7200RPM (storage)
ASUS P8Z77-V LK Motherboard

You could run a quality PSU at near 100% load 24/7, it really does not matter.
On top of that, your Corsair is among the best PSUs available.

Thanks again for your responses. Picked up the 760i already.
