I am in the process of creating a new gaming/3d grapics (Maya/3dsmax) rig. Looking for a mobo to support a couple of solid GPUs, the Haswell 4770k, and will be a nice base for overclocking. Republic of Gamers has a nice board out there, and there are a couple of other high end boards(MSI, gigabyte, and Asrock), but without all the bells and whistles, the WS model seems to provide the same upper tier performance.

What is the community's opinion on the workstation mobo? Has anyone seen any reviews (I haven't found any yet). Would you recommend another mobo? Additionally, is Thunderbolt worth having? That is one of the features this WS board lacks.

Thanks!

Appears to be a good mobo, I'd give it a try, I agree that bells and whistles aren't generally worth the added costs, but nice if included.. If you have a need for Thunderbolt or simply want it, then it's probably worth it to you to look further
