Hi all,

Just attempted my first time build with a buddy of mine who has done it 3-4 times before. Having some issues I could use some help with...

Everything started fine, built the comp, booted up fine first time I pressed the power button, POST was good, temps seemed fine. Put Windows in, all good, then the comp restarted at 25% completion. Thought that was odd, but restarted fine, started installation again fine, this time comp restarted around 13% completion.something clearly wrong...

From here it just kept going downhill, restarting most of the time every few seconds if it would even POST. Now I can't boot it at all. We tried reseating psu, wires, etc, using different memory sticks, booting without gpu, ssd...nothing. reseated the cpu, still nothing. My buddy thinks it's either a psu or mobo issue. Anyone have any ideas?

At this point I'm going to grab a new psu and mobo tonight to see if it is one of those. Any help would be much appreciated!

Here is the rig
I7 4770k
Asus z87 pro
Samsung pro 256gb
G. Skill ares 4x4 1866
Evga gtx 780
Corsair 850ax

Thanks!

No I did not turn it off, restarted itself and came back on with a Windows installation error, did that twice then had trouble booting up at all
