hello

After posting one thread on this forum for my hdd and that case i was fed up with it.

So I have returned that techcom case back to the shopkeeper :D after having so many doubts in my mind with it
i went to another shop in my area and i was shocked. The guy had 4-5 varities of 2.5 hdd cases....

He showed me one available for just 200 INR

and another for just 550 INR
I told him show more if you have :D
He showed me this :bounce:

Ha ha, lol how is this possible??It costed me only 400 INR ($6.69).Is this a chinese import ????

DO WD sells these cases???

Ankit

that is the WD element case. I guess they are making replacement cases for them. It would be hard to mount a harddrive inside one of those. For one I have a few of them at work they have a special pcb board on the bottom of the harddrive for the usb port so it make the enclosure smaller since you don't have an adapter to go from sata to usb.

Bro my case is already having a usb to sata converter mount into it.In accessories i have got one usb cable and nothing else.

Mine is 2.5inch hdd so it dont requires addaitional power from adapter.

For example in blow pic green pcb is also present.Same is there in my case

What do you mean by special pcb board on the bottom of the harddrive for the usb port
Between is this case ok???I mean my hdd will be fine???yes you are right i think they are making cases for repair/spares

your harddrive with the adapter pcb board will not fit in that case. here is a picture of a 2.5" harddrive and the WD element drive that fits in that enclosure. they are the same size so your harddrive will not fit in that case

From right to left standard sata 2.5" drive, middle is the drive that fits in the element case, left is the new WD passport drive. the last two drives have special pcb boards with a single usb plug on them instead of the sata ports.

here is a top view to show the size

Thanks for all of your pics posting effort but
Sorry to quote that but you are/were absolutely wrong this time.I have installed my hdd into that case and it is meant for that.Just got fit very smoothly and is working fine..Just tested now

I created this thread to just know whether the case is good or not.

I dont understand which hdd specs you are talking about. My hdd is sata, this casing is sata.So there is no point of this that it wont fit into it.
Anyway its working
