I've just put together my computer and when I run Battlefield3 sometimes when I launch the game my screen will split in two equal halves. The top half will look normal/great, the bottom half will look shaky/glitchy, the lighting will be off. This has also happened when I loaded Civ5 and maxed out the settings. This doesn't happen all the time and if with Civ5 if I go down a little bit in the settings it resolves itself, in BF3 if I back out and reload it resolves itself. Is this normal?

Try these things to find a fix:
1) Turn off Vsync and turn on Adaptive Vsync in the Nvidia control panel, there may be a screen tearing issue.
2) Try reinstalling your display driver from Nvidia's website

Also, what kind of temps are you getting on the card when under load, this may be a cooling issue if you are experiencing artifacts and unusual screen tearing on high settings. At the worst you'd have to wait for a new driver release.

Alright then temperature is not an issue. Odds are it's driver related but using adaptive vsync may help with that weird screen tearing glitch.
