Be it for NAS or downloading games off steam I need a PC to stay up all night. I figured I should go with Mini-ITX coz of the power -effectiveness.
But my primary concerns are:
1.Will this be able to perform other tasks - like actually support a good display - 1080p if i intend to watch some movies on it(I will/may be connecting it to my sweet bravia). Although I do not need 1080p - Coz I just need it to be up all night -will it though?

2. How Powerful is it?

3.Will a discrete GPU have any effect on video output? Or Do i need better processor - And that being said -Sempron or Atom(dual core).
Sempron at 2.8GHz and atom at 1.8GHz(But dual core). Sempron is also a good 60$ higher.

Any answer appreciated. And Top PRIORITIES are : 1. Durability - I need this to last long
2. Power effectiveness - I be running it all night.
(Mostly downloading stuff with my slow internet connection :heink:)

I am willing to shell out only as high as 220$(Where did I get the number from? The cash I have left aftter I built my Gaming Rig).
But I won't be needing all the 220 I guess. Keep it as low and as good as possible.

What? I think there is a total misunderstanding here.
I will be downloading games on this. I will not PLAY per se. I have a gaming rig for 1000 bucks. (With only a 7770 though but WTH).

Final thoughts : AMD fm2 mobo are little bit more expensive. If there is not much performance/ graphics increase i will get the Athlon happily.
Also can i Add gpu to athlon mobo to make it handle 1080p?
Mini - atx maybe?

what im saying is i cant build one for that cheap, a hardrive alone is like 1/3 the build, a cpu is another 50$ for the cheapest, $220 is just too low, maybe someone else can but i cant figure it out

Oh ok I am sorry , forget the HDD. Just gimme the mobo and CPU.
I have 500 gig spare one already. I will install a ram too. Any ram will do.
This is not build to be fast. This should survive in 1080p(This is the maximum requirement).
If it cannot handle 1080 , alright.
If it does, great.
Alright its night time here man. Bye for the next 6 hours.

I would suggest building this.

CPU/MB/GPU COMBO- $99.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500055
RAM- $51.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313128.
PSU/CASE COMBO- $49.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147131
CD/DVD RW - $17.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136259

Dual core 1.66Ghz atom with hyper threading/4GB RAM/ Dedicated GPU/250W PSU/ Mini ITX case/ You have a 500GB HDD/ 24X CR/DVD-RW = 219.96
