I have an ASUS N56VJ-S4144H which means:

Intel i7 3630QM 2.4-3.2GHz (sandy bridge I guess)
8GB of RAM at 1600MHz
Nvidia Geforce GT635M 2GB
Intel HD 4000 graphics
750GB HDD
Blu-ray ODD
15.6" FHD LED monitor
Bang & Olufsen ICEpower sound
WIN 8

Now to the question, I want to upgrade my RAM to 16GB and I don't know what RAMs are compatible with my ASUS.
I can find info about VZ/VM but not about my VJ-S4144H. On the ASUS website it only says up to 16GB SO-DIMM but I can't find any specifics anywhere on google etc.

Does anyone know/recommend any specific RAM to my specific model and what maximum MHz I can use? I don't want to buy new RAM that are compatible to a "similar" product code, and then it turns out that it's not compatible with my specific product.

Thank you!

According to CPU-Z and some google'ing I found out that my current RAM is :

Manufacturer Hynix
Manufacturer Part #
HMT351S6CFR8C-PB
Memory Type SODIMM
Capacity 4GB
Pins 204 Pin
Bus Type PC-12800
Cycle Time 1.5ns
Cas CL11
Data Transfer Rate 1600Mhz
Memory Clock 200Mhz
Rank Rank 2
Voltage 1.5

Does that mean that I can buy this upgrade kit? : http://

I don't know if I'm on a Ivy or sandy bridge CPU, how do I know that?

Thankful for your answers!

Thank you!
Yes, I found some stock RAM available but I want to upgrade to some more high end RAM, like Corsair Vengeance for more heavy tasks. I dont think the "stock" RAM can be compared with high end ones? I've seen people upgrading their VZ/VM's to vengeance RAM. Do you know if that is possible for my notebook? if you take a look at the specs I've posted about my Notebook and the current RAM?

And how do I see if I'm running a Ivy or sandy bridge CPU?

It should be compatible. Check this thread for CPU variations : http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1664110/ivy-bridge-sandy-bridge-haswell.html

Good luck!
