Hi, I am looking to upgrade my HP Pavilion p7-1234 this summer. The full specs can be found here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Docume...

I plan on using a Radeon 6670 found here: http://tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-de...

I also understand I need to find a PSU, around 500W for an ATX tower, so will the GFX and PSU work with the motherboard or case or will I need to get a new MB/Case?

you could get a HD 7750 instead. Much more powerful than a 6670, but not too expensive. It would easily run on a 300W PSU as well.
I assume that PSU doesn't have any PCIe connectors, so you can't get anything better than a 7750, which requires no PCIe connectors.

HOWEVER, if that PSU has at least 1 PCIe connector, you could get a 7770 or a 7790 instead, which would both run on 300W.
