Hello,
I am looking to build a computer for my grandfather for light video editing. His old PC won't cut it and I don't want him installing 30 toolbars on my new gaming rig...From what I've seen, he simply splices video together, adds music, subtitles, etc. He uses a 1080p cam. Pretty sure it uses AVCHD.
Looking for some general advice in terms of what kind of power he needs and what components I should focus my money on. Better CPU? GPU? RAM? If it's convenient give me an idea of what major components (CPU/GPU/RAM)will be necessary. I know that video editing will have different needs than gaming, so trying to get an idea of how to best spend my money and keep my budget low. Thanks in advance.
