Hi all, right now I am in the process of picking parts for my first gaming PC build and currently its running me around £1300 (around $2000) which is a bit more than I'd like and would like any help getting it down even if its just a fiver, I would like to know if there are overkill parts, or cheaper alternatives for the parts listed, or things I can drop out and by at a later time please write below.

And it would be much appreciated if you give your opinion on it e.g is it worth it, how long will it last, how well it will play games etc.

P.S hoping to over-clock in future so keep that in mind

Thanks

Drop to a 770, pick up an SSD and better CPU cooler.

How noticeable will the difference between the 770 and 780 be and I was thinking maybe I would just pick up an SSD later and I have heard good things about the 212 Evo and it was cheap so I don't think I will drop it soon

The 212 EVO is a great cooler, beware the ripjaws are really tall and you might not be able to fit them under the heatsink. I would recommend something with a smaller heat spreader. For 1920X1080 you can go with a GTX770 or a 7970 because of the sweet games that come with it.

For 1080P a 770 is a good choice, 780 is a bit overkill. AMD also has some good picks if you're on a budget.

Get the SSD now, its harder to install afterwards.

The 212 is apparently not good enough for Haswell.
