Hello all, just signed up here. I am not very tech savvy. Just seeing if anybody can help me out.

My pc has a crappy xps 8300 motherboard. Recently the ethernet port decided to go tits up.

So I ordered a nic card from NCIX, I should be able to install it no problem.

My problem is my crappy motherboard doesnt have enough slots pci e slots. It has two open ones under my video card, but I don't want to put anything to close to the video card.
So I had to take out my usb card out of the back, to make room for the nic card.

Is there cables that I could get so I can put the nic card and the usb card lower in my case? I would be looking for a male into the motherboard, and female into the two cards.

Here's some pics, not really sure what exactly the connector is called....

I don't see a problem installing them both.
Put the smaller card next to the graphics card. I think neither will affect airflow sufficiently.

No need to look for a solution until you know you have a problem.

Is putting something that close to my vid card good? It would be sitting right up against the fan of the vid card. That thing gets hot enough as it is. I don't want to damage anything....
