With your budget I would go with a 770. You can find them in the U.S. at least for that price range. However I think everything in australia is more expensive. You will be able to max out almost all games at this point. And in the future for a little while.

To max every single game out right now with a single card at 1920 x 1080 you need a GTX 780 or GTX Titan. Even then Crysis 3 with all the eye candy turned on will only give you barely playable frame rates. Now games that demanding are rare and a GTX 770 or HD 7970Ghz Ed will still give you a great experience.

Since you have a 19in monitor I am guessing 1440 x 900? If so then a GTX 770 or 760 from Nvidia or an HD 7970/7950 from AMD will be your best bets.
