I'm getting a desktop but there's no room in the office so I'll probably end up putting it upstairs. The problem with this is that the router is in the office. So I might need a wireless network adapter, since stringing an ethernet cable all the way upstairs isn't very practical (unless if someone else can think of how to manage that). The desktop is for gaming so I need a wireless network adapter that's lightning fast so I'm not lagging or ghosting. The desktop is LGA1150 with an ATX motherboard. Suggestions?
Edit: Apparently the motherboard has WiFi integrated. So on second thought would this work for connecting to the internet wirelessly like a laptop?

So for gaming should I connect the desktop to the router with an ethernet cable, get a wireless network adapter, or just use the motherboard?
