I have been having motherboard problems in my HP p6510f.

I could upgrade the case but I just want to fix it.

Will it fit?

I plan to slap in a 7770 also.
Any of these mobo's in ddr5?
Can I take my tiny networking card out of my hp and into the new mobo?

Thanks

Shew.... looks like a tight fit in there, but I guess that's what they design for. Speaking from personal experience, most of these OEM pre-built machines use a micro-ATX board (and your pictures look like it). Therefore your board should work just fine and provide you with an upgrade path for your CPU! I replaced a mATX board in my grandmother's ACER PC with an Asus FM1 board and had very few problems. I did have to use some 90 degree SATA cables though as the board pointed the SATA ports right at the wall.... sigh. But they're cheap and you may have some lying around.

I am confused about your questions about the DDR5 though. DDR3 is the current standard and DDR4 is still over a year away. You may be thinking of the GDDR5 that graphics cards have on them. You'll like the improved speed from DDR3 which this board will require I believe (do make sure your CPU can handle it if you're not upgrading, I know that some of the Athlon x2 and x4's were still using DDR2 back in the day).

And lastly, your network card should work in the new motherboard (although I don't know that I would call that "tiny" haha). Are you looking to use both the motherboard ethernet port and your own NIC? If not, I would just use the ASUS ethernet solution. It is gigabit and you won't have to go looking for the HP drivers. Best of luck!

Yes the board you listed will fit in your case and all other components inside. And it has a PCi-E slot so it will supports any PCI-E graphic card regardless the type of VRAM it use ( DDR3, GDDR3, GDDR5,... ). Yet I'd suggest the gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 as a much better option that the Asus board you listed due to good power design and usb3.0 ports : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga78lmtusb3 .

If you want to slap in a HD7770 then you should change the PSU, too, since the stock 250w PSU won't handle a 7770 well.

If you want to reuse the old mini PCI-E card, you'll need a "mini pcie to pcie" adapter.

Just took a closer look at your pictures. Do you mean the small wifi card mounted parallel to the motherboard? If so, you won't be able to take this with you : (. Your new motherboard doesn't have the corresponding slot. I'm not sure what it is from the picture... probably a mini PCIe or mini PCI slot. They use them alot in laptops and all-in-ones.

If you are able to verify that it is mini PCIe, you'll be able to get an adapter to one of the 1x PCIe slots. They're pretty cheap and I imagine they probably work well enough for just an electrical pass through. But I don't have any experience. However, when you get into $20+ you might as well grab a normal PCIe wifi card so you don't have to deal with the hassle.

Best of luck and let me know if I can help any more!

Thanks brisa117 I was mixed up in the ddr5 and ddr3 thing for some reason... damn I'm tired. The wifi card is some small thing that doesn't seem to apply to most motherboards. It almost looks like a laptop wifi card. It does look like a mini pci/ pcie card. I also looked at the requirements and It all checks out. I just need to borrow some thermal paste form my friend and Im all good.

Thanks Madn3ss795. I have a wide selection of mobo's to purchase which is great. I have already have a upgraded power supply and I think I might buy a pci wirless card instead of wasting it on a converter. Thanks Again

I know how those late nights can be! And it's always nice to have a friend who keeps spare PC junk around. Unfortunately, I am that friend to most people and when I need something... Well my wallet takes the hit. Best luck again man!
