So I'm on a tight budget and I'd like to not have to rely on my onboard Radeon 3000 graphics in my ASUS motherboard.(Fairly new build) I was wondering if the Gigabyte Radeon HD 6670 2GB Video Card would work for Star Trek online or Starwars the old republic on my display(max is 1600x900). What can I expect out of this card in this situation?

I should also clarify two things. Because of budget I a bought a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3. I'm looking to keep it under a hundred for the video card. I don't know if my MoBo will support that card...

You will be fine. As long as the mobo has a PCI-Express slot it will work. That card is low-power enough that it shouldn't even need external power from your PSU.

Edit: Looking at your motherboard it does indeed have a PCI-E slot. The long, dark blue slot is PCI-E.

best options within 100$

A radeon hd 7770 if you have a decent 450watts psu (which i doubt) an hd 7750 if you have a weak psu.

Well without knowing that much about your psu ,my recommendation still would be an hd 7750 .go with this card . Believe me its the best card today which draws all of its power from motherboard (via pcie slot). And you'll get around 50 PERCENT much better performance from the hd 6670 if you buy this card. Its the best in its category

Well I have this exact card oc'd to 1000mhz RAM and 885mhz Core and it runs star trek at max settings 1080x1920 at 60fps(Vsnc) so it can go higher. just saying

you should go for 6670 its great card and takes up only 63 watts of your PSU so it should run just fine if you can expand your budget a bit the go for ddr5 version which is even better
