Hello, everyone. I'am going to choose between three Asus 24" LED VN247H monitors or one BenQ 24" 3D LED XL2411T. And I'am going to get two 7970's or two gtx 770's sli. What will be most worth it. Idc about the prices, what will be best?

Well it comes down to personal preference somewhat.

If you're getting two GPUs right off the bat, you could benefit from more than one monitor.

However 120Hz monitors can feel quite amazing. . .

3 monitors can be really good for immersion, such as if you play flight simulators.

Also, if money is no object, you might as well just get a GTX 780... Then you could easily get a

single 2560 x 1440 144Hz monitor.

if you're certain to get 2 770s in SLi, i would go with the 3 monitors.

There is no 2560x1440 144Gz monitors... But what will be best for surround or eyefinity? What will I have highest fps "Two gtx 770's or two 7970's". Btw, if I take the two 7970 I will save 200 bucks and then I can get a much better monitor or what ever i can spend the other money on. My AMD specs will cost 2100 dollars while the Nvidia specs I've choosen will cost 2350 dollars. I want the highest fps as possible :D .

don't build a xfire setup. until AMD fixes xfire, it's basically broken. if you plan on using 2 gpus right now there is no other option then nvidia.

Broken? No it's not. Do you mean it got no steady fps? I mean a very steady fps that will never give me some lagg in 1-2 seconds. I want smooth all the way :) . So which one got most steady fps...

it's completely broken. as in the reported FPS are pointless... as most frames in xfire are orphaned frames (not completely drawn... often no more then 4-10 lines on your monitor) and the frame pacing is so bad the effective FPS in xfire is about the same as a single AMD gpu by itself.

It's 100% broken right now... and will offer almost no improvement over a single amd gpu until it's fixed (the reported fps will disagree, but when measuring pacing and orphaned frames, the truth comes out. xfire doesn't work atm)

Okay, then I go for nvidia. But should I take the three 60hz monitors or the 120hz benq monitor?

Except for one very specific exception (and even thats not guaranteed) there are no 1440p 120hz monitors.

Its not that broken, and AMD have announced that new drivers will be released on the 31st of July (admittedly a month away) that will solve a lot of the Framerating issues that Crossfire solutions have. Might be worth waiting for them to release before saying that Crossfire is completely broken.

In regards to the OP's question.
I would go for a single 780 with a triple monitor setup over dual cards or a 120hz.

i'd go with 2 770s in SLi with 3 monitors over 1 780 and 3 monitors.

Drivers are software that tell your OS how to use devices, basically an instruction manual. Not a physical product, you download them.

I used crossfire on the 3870's... it was broken then... and has always been broken. I don't expect them to fix it and don't trust them to do it anytime soon (July 31)

1 We cant possibly know until it releases

2. Define better

3. In terms of Framerating, Nvidia will be on top for a while. They found out about it years ago and have implemented hardware and software solutions to limit it. AMD only found about this relatively recently, and have only been able to roll out software solutions and more than likely a hardware solution wont be in the next-gen AMD cards.

manofchalk You've quoted the wrong person. Just a heads up; it looks like it's me who's saying the things

in the second quote, but it actually isn't. I never said those things. And in the first quote, I believe I

meant "or a 144Hz". I'm not always at home when I post, so I don't have time to doublecheck my posts.

Thank you for correcting me otherwise.

Sorry, will fix the the quote.
Its too easy to get quote tags mixed up in the new forum.

I have a Benq XL2411t monitor, and i can assure you fast response with no input lagg, gorgeous colours for a tn panel and smmoth as butter on the eye.
I'm very happy with it, and would never go back to a 60hz panel, plus there are tons of reviews for benq that are all very positive.
Hope this helps.
