I tried to change my HD 7970 voltage, the default is 1113 and I want to change it to reach a higher overclock. But when I adjust the slider on MSI Afterburner, and hwne I click Apply, it always revert back to 1113. I have enabled unofficial overclocking, disabled ULPS. This is also same with trixx. Is there any way to change my voltage ? My card is Club3d HD 7970 royalQueen

yeah... i think your card is voltage locked.

1113 mV, not Mhz. I can't pass 1120 Mhz Or it will crash.

Now I'm trying to flash my GPU BIOS to unlock it, but when I flash it and reboot it says that no graphic driver installed, there is an exclamation mark on device manager, and after reinstalling driver it's the same, so i flash to stock. Did I do something wrong ? I followed this to flash my BIOS (http://www.overclock.net/t/1353325/tutorial-atiwinflash-how-to-flash-the-bios-of-your-ati-cards). Also, can I flash using BIOS from different brand, like from ASUS ?

not as far as i am concerned--if its the same as my card then no

what really annoyed me was there was no mention of voltage locking on gigabytes website

or on the retailers site who sold it to me

the revision 1 of my card could be overvolted and overclocked to about 1300mhz

i think too many were failing so voltage locking was the result
