Hi guy, I want to know that is this combo good? Also, I am going to change 256GB SSD to become 128GB. Should I change the ram to gkill but which model will be good? Urm.. Do I need to get another case fan for this Mid tower or should I go get full tower?
Here is my combo right now... Do I need to change anything beside those I asked?

Are these the retail prices and are there discounts it seems like you're already over budget Timmy Tang??? Also autoCAD is some kind of 3D modeling software is it not? If so programs like such benefit more from more cores. Just an FYI! :)

I guess it depends on how much you plan to use 3D modeling programs like CAD. If gaming is your primary function for this pc I say it's a perfectly fine build. otherwise if you plan to do quite a bit around 3D modeling then I would say strive for more cores!

Also 1600MHz for you RAM is fine no need for 1866MHz or higher its been shown that its like a 1% difference in performance particularly for your build I would consider a better CAS Latency for your RAM and not focus so much on the MHz it offers.

do you have any suggestion about the ram? I am considering to get like may be 8gb or 16gb but iam not sure which one will perform better. Also, I use this build as both gamming and for school. Since I am studying in engineering, I may need to use some program like CAD, and Matlab to solve those problems.

Personally 16GB those programs benefit more from more RAM, VRAM and CPU cores! A real power house would be a cpu with more cores and a GPU with at least 3-4GB VRAM and yes those 16GB RAM will be great! Although what you have selected will suffice! I guess I would ask if you plan to add another GPU and also I have learned that in many instances AMD video cards are better at computing power!

oh did you already purchase all the stuff you listed? like I said before what you have will suffice and that's good yes the 16GB ram would be great but could probably do just fine with 8GB in the short term. note that future proofing is pretty impossible although yes you're setup should last you while until those programs actually start becoming more demending down the road. Otherwise looks good just stick with that you have especially if you have already paid for it. I think the computer is fine I was just mentioning how those programs benefit from the extra stuff it was just some food for your thoughts ok ;)

No I havent bought yet becase I am out of town for now but I am going to buy in may be like 2 weeks later. Right now I am trying to figure out which would be great for me and I am trying to not go over my budget. Also, I want my this new build can be last longer so I dont need to spend some $ for while.
the thing is I am getting 770 because it looks better than AMD for now but compare to 780 it is kinda pricy although 780 may be better. Also, or the ram, I dont really know which is good for me like the brand, and how many GB.
