i wanted to tap into your vast pool of knowledge to help me with my sound card.

I have a xonar dg (used) and I installed it (incl drivers). It shows up as "zonar dg" in my software, but the jacks don't work. Many of the pins where significantly bent when I got it. Perhaps it's broken?

Is it possible for it to be recognized by my software as it has done, and still not work?

Should I RMA? For basic headphones and 2-speaker sound, the DG is no different than the DGS or DX or DS right? I don't have surrond sound and I have a PCI slot.

Does your motherboard have onboard audio? If so, does that work by itself?

If it came to you with pins already bent, then yes...at the very least send it back. But you may not need it at all, if all your using is basic headphones.
