Ok so I'm looking to buy a laptop, either the Ideapad Y510p or the Asus G55VW. I'm starting my freshman year of college in the fall and plan to major in computer science (although I'm quite inexperienced aha). Also I want to be able to play Guild Wars 2.

Also if I go with the lenovo, should I get the SLI GT750m? Or would I be fine with a single GT750m?

Here are links to each:
Lenovo Ideapad Y510p (w/o SLI): http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y510p/?sb=:000001C9:0000ECB4:

With SLI: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y510p/?sb=:000001C9:0000ECB1:

And Asus G55VW: https://www.asus.com/ROG_ROG/G55VW/

Any help and input is much appreciated, Thank You!

Well it's a difficult choice but if you want performance+portability, then I'll recommend the Ideapad Y510p. But if you get the GT 750M SLI Graphics, then definitely the Ideapad Y510p as its better than the 660 MX. And also the Ideapad has a 4700MQ i7 processor which is the latest in the Intel lineup and it's battery life is slightly more (though on Dedicated GPU it's almost the same) as compared to i7-3630qm or other 3rd gen i7's.

And also you'll be able to play Guild Wars 2 on the 750M but with SLI you can play it on Ultra Graphics and High Resolution with decent FPS.

And if price is not a problem then definitely get the SLI 750M as it's more future proof else if you're on budget then even the 750M is a pretty good GPU.

THanks for asking. :)
