I am building my second computer for my father's friend. He is going to be using it for his company that he runs and already has a monitor, mouse, keyboard, and accessories. He said, quote, "I want a kick-ass, over the top, ass-kicking graphics card." I'm not sure the full reasoning but I put one in there. I went low with the RAM because there is no need for too much on a work computer and I went with a powerful processor to compliment his wanting of a fast PC. The SSD is to add extra speed and the rest are the basic needs.

Depending on the uses, you could downgrade the CPU a bit and then upgrade the GPU. You could also stand to get a much better case than a CM Elite 430.

Maybe try something like this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($425.91 @ Newegg)...
Go for at least 8 gigs of RAM. 4 gigs will likely bottleneck, even in simple tasks. Also, if he wants a "kick-ass, over the top, ass-kicking graphics card", then you may want to go with something like the gtx 770, or 7970. Also, you may want to add a 1TB hard drive to that build, as 128gigs will fill up quick in a work/game environment.

I didn't include the SSD but the "kick ass over the top" GPU requested is in there.

You can always add an SSD later on.
