Very odd connectivity issues..

Hello, I'm about to tear my hair out here.. No matter what online game I play, I seem to get disconnected from my wireless internet. It's very weird, because it's not a full "disconnect." Basically, I can still hear people's mics but my connectivity to the actual server is just gone. Ping in net graph just goes solid and I'm left there with people frozen on my screen with mics still talking.

What raises more frustration is whenever I minimize the game for about 5 seconds and open the game with myself still connected to the server, I get connection again, but it later does the funk in a few seconds.

When I woke up to play some Counter Strike: Source, I had no problems at all with the internet. 2 whole hours went by and I had an outstanding 50-60 ping. That is, until I started to get the funk.. Not to mention, last Friday I had outstanding ping as well. In fact, I had amazing ping until Sunday. Then came Monday with the issues.

I've tried everything, and I mean, literally, everything. Power saving options, firewalls, disabling IP6v, reinstalling my drivers, all of it. Nothing has made a single difference.. I've looked into my "Event Viewer" on my computer as well. All I see is the connectivity issues. Currently, I have 476 events. I'd say a good 450 are related to network type of things.

EXAMPLES: (The ICS_IPV6 was unable to allocate bytes of memory. This may indicate that the system is low on virtual memory, or that the memory manager has encountered an internal error.)

(The ScRegSetValueExW call failed for FailureActions with the following error:
Access is denied.)

(Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x00259CABDE54. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.)

There's many more event logs that are filled with those type of errors.. One that's related to the game would be:

(Faulting application name: hl2.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x519acea8
Faulting module name: icudt.dll, version: 4.6.0.0, time stamp: 0x4edd32c8
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0065bb69
Faulting process id: 0x8d0
Faulting application start time: 0x01ce71b4ef2ed7ee
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source\hl2.exe
Faulting module path: c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\counter-strike source\bin\icudt.dll
Report Id: d505e68b-dda8-11e2-93cc-9b1608995012)

I'm running Windows 7, by the way. It's even a brand-new computer. I just got it 2 Saturdays ago. Ever since I got the new computer, it's done this day in and day out. Well, before it was just really high ping spikes. Now it just goes to a halt..

Please do help me with this.. I can't stand not being able to play games online. I think it has something to do with bandwidth.. Being that I'm able to play for a certain amount of time after giving my computer a time powered down, or it could be that my 2 year old wireless adapter is just too obsolete for Windows 7. Many possibilities, but tell me what you think and try to help me as best as you can.

How many computers are on your network?
What router do you use?

Make sure your NIC driver is up to date from the manufacturer.

Configure the router to a static address for your PC based on the MAC address of your wireless NIC.
Find your MAC by opening a command prompt and typing ipconfig /all
Look for what is listed as the Physical Address
Open your router configuration window in a web browser
Look for an area called LAN setup or address reservation
Configure a new static IP using your MAC address.
