Hello,
I do not have much experience in computers, but I do know a little bit. I am hoping to build a decent enough PC with the money I have (300$). I plan to use my already existing processor (Intel Core i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30 GHz), my Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti by EVGA, and my harddrive. I was planning on buying an all new case, motherboard, power supply, and RAM. Could you please recommend some of these things? Again, my budget is 300$ but I could possibly go to 400$. I imagine spending 150$ on my motherboard, I found this one ( http://goo.gl/nBPsJ ), and I found this case + PSU I could get for a steal ( http://goo.gl/SR8WD ), for about 70$, and then some 8GB RAM for roughly 70$ as well. All in all, about 290$.
Thoughts? Would these parts all go together well for gaming?
EDIT: Please ask any questions you may have, if you need to know more about my current specs, I will try to answer the best I can with my limited knowledge :)

With an i3-2120 you do not need to spend $150 on a motherboard. You could spend 1/3 of that and then put money into a higher quality case and power supply. Maybe try something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Motherboard: ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($82.55 @ Newegg)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 520W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($75.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($17.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $351.49
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

What do you think of this motherboard? ( http://goo.gl/t9G4X ) I noticed the one you linked has very fluctuating reviews, and honestly, I do not want to take that risk. The one I linked seems pretty legit IMO, let me know! I won't be needing a new hard drive, if I just use the one I already have, right? For a case I was thinking http://goo.gl/EeEPH and would the 520w PSU be able to keep up with games and the GFX card I have? Thanks.
