I forgot what model number I have but it's a Philips monitor. It's FHD, doesn't have a glossy screen and it has a 2ms response time and is a 60hz panel - anything more than that is for really high spec systems. For gaming and video (my primary 2 functions for my pc), I can't complain at all, and it was very cheap, definitely in your price range. So have a look at Philips monitors. Oh, and it's a 24" too. I paid R2600 for it about 6 months ago which equates to approximately 238 USD, although we have a fairly hectic markup on goods here so I'm sure you could get it cheaper. Don't be scared of going with name brands that aren't generally thought of when you discuss "gaming" - there are decent enough monitors out there if you just keep your options open. Happy hunting!
