2008 dvd/rw (AD-7200A) usable?

I'm guessing it will be ok for my new build but wanted to make sure? I took it out of an old emachine that had an AMD x64 in it. If not, I'll fork out $16 for a new one.

More than likely the old optical drive is IDE and will 'cripple' a SATA based machine (if you can even plug it in without an adapter costing more than an optical drive), if it is SATA, you should be fine but if it's IDE, dump it and get a new one
