  1. According to what I've read the 760 is on par with or a little lower than the 7950 so it should be the better choice of the two.
  2. The 760 is more on par with the 7870 XT, which are about the same price, so basically go with whatever you prefer.

The 760 trades blows with the 7950 and 7970

The gtx 660 ti is not the same card as the 760

760 is a bit faster, yeah, but there's no way it outperforms a 7950. Maybe on par, yes, but not 7970 level.
  7. I have the same question, think it's going to be the gtx 760.

Techpowerup tested like 5 GTX 760's today and they were all faster then the 7950

But how will they perform both oc'ed? The hd 7950 will probably beat it when oc'ed, theres much information between the gtx 760 vs hd 7950 but not the hd 7870 xt.

there are a few benchmarks including the hd 7870 xt in this review http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/4525/nvidia-geforce-gtx-760-review-boost-for-the-mid-range-segment

It's going to be a con flip. Highly overclocked 7950 should match a highly overclocked 760
  11. But only one allows you to play the new PhysX games with the effects turned up high.

Quote from HardOCP's review of Metro Last Light:

"NVIDIA and 4A Games did a great job of implementing PhysX. It had an impact on every scene when it was enabled. PhysX brought the world around us to life by doing simple things like adding more smoke to barrels that are burning, and improving the way cloth interacts with people and the environment. PhysX also brought more particles to life. Anytime a bullet hits a wall, there's sure to be debris spewing out and cluttering together on the ground. Fog isn't just stagnant with PhysX enabled, you can clear a path through it just by walking through it. And let's not forget the large particles that come flying directly at you anytime there is an explosion. It is a shame for AMD users that they will miss out on such great technology."
  12. So wich one are you going to choose? just curious.
  13. I have a 7870 XT and I always wish I choose a Nvidia card because I have coil whine and want the PhysX effects. If they are both the same price, I think you're getting more value from the 760.
