Soon I will be building my gaming pc and I cant decide on which graphic card to choose.

There both msi twin frozer versions.

The 7970 is $419 in aus
The 680 is $449 in aus

Nvidia to me seems stable and good quality, And good drivers, and readon I don't know.

I've seen benchmarks on this card and some games the 680 wins and other games the 7970.

Please don't tell me to get a gtx 770 because that's out of my price range, only these cards are my options now.

I will play Arma 2 OA , DayZ standalone . BF3 BF4 and others.
Arma 2 benchmarks the radeon 7970 is the winner. I would also do abit of recording.

Other Specs:
i5 3570k
msi z77a g45
8GB Kingston Ram
1tb WD blue

Thanks

7970 if you plan on overclocking. How much is a GTX 770 in Australia?

I would go with the 7970 purely because of the price. They both have such similar performance that it would not make a difference between the two.

I was in the same situation as you recently, went for the 7970 and havent regretted it. AMD are really good value in Australia, typically Nvidia cards can be marked up a good $100.
