Hey everyone,

I am in the market for a 770 or 780, but I haven't been able to find very many apples-to-apples comparisons of the different models. Does anyone know of a test article similar to this one comparing several different 670s?

More about : gtx 770 comparison benchmarks

The GTX 770 was just released. Thus, everyone sells the same card. The only real differences are whether and how much they are Overclocked and what cooler they have on them.

So one can judge these cards purely by their clock rates? For example, it was my understanding the the Gigabyte 670 was pretty much the best all-around 670 (a good balance between cooling, noise, and performance) but not necessarily the fastest. I can understand similar information not being available, though, given the recency of the card's release.

In that case, is there any particular brand that is more trustworthy? I have an EVGA currently and like it, and I've generally seen Asus, Gigabyte, and EVGA cards recommended more highly than (for example) MSI, Zotac, etc. Is this more or less accurate?

Read the first two sentences of my quote again. The card was just released. Therefore, everyone is selling the same PCB. It's not like Gigabyte is selling a customized board. The only differences in them right now are the coolers on them and the clock speeds they are set at. At least I have not read or seen any evidence anyone is customizing them at this point.

Sure the PCB may be colored different (EVGA is black for example).

Some manufacturers do have a better reputation for certain. Even better warranty support. EVGA is likely one of the best reputations for the gaming world. The MSI Lightning and Twin Frozr models have been well respected. The Asus DirectCU (and previous TOP models) have been respected. Gigabyte I think it's finding their place in the GPU world. Few years ago they were a less expensive card like MSI was. Zotac has made a name for themselves with their AMP! cards.

I wouldn't say any of them suck. But a couple stand out.

Maybe this link can help you:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/Graphics-Cards/NVID...

If you sort the articles by Popularity, you will see, on the top, the links to 7 reviews from TechPowerUp (MSI - 2 cards, Asus, Gigabyte, Palit, Zotac and Nvidia).
Since the reviews were done by the same site, I believe you can compare the results and get a good reference.

Hi - The prevailing user opinions I've come across seen to suggest the 780 isn't a good
price/value card while the 770 is a very good "bang for the buck card"

Here's an idea on performance:
