Why does my computer keep freezing?

So I noticed this after I changed my start up processes but I have not suspected that to be the problem mainly because these freezes occur long after I turn the laptop on.

I am running Windows 7 and the freezes are ones where it requires for me to press down on the power button on my laptop to manually shut it down. Capslock/wifi/mute button lights are unresponsive.

Here is the list of start up programs that I have enabled and disabled:

Apologize for that wall of text. Is there anything that I need to turn on to eliminate these freezes?

I ran the registry cleaner multiple times before and the freezes still continue to occur.

Hi,
I don't know if you managed to resolve your problem with this, but I *may* have found the cause of similar issues on my Win 7 laptop.

The symptoms I had were an intermittent problem with massive delays on start up. Where nothing would respond. Regularly starting would take over 5 minutes! The weird bit was that it wasn't always the 1st start up of the day, it could be any of several occurrences & it always turned my laptop in to an unresponsive brick until the culprit had done it's thing.

After eliminating malware & hardware problems as the cause, I found it was a start up process that was at fault. Having been going through & eliminating likely problem processes on my laptop, the one that appears to 'hang up' my laptop is the AdobeARM.exe process. Disabling this from the startup list means my laptop starts in under 1 minute (to a fully responsive desktop).

A small rider here: I haven't completed checking all the startup processes on my laptop, but ditching the AdobeARM.exe process appears to have fixed the issue for me.

Peace, out.
