Hello, i was wanting to pick up a card for gaming and was wondering if this is a good card and if so can it max games out? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...



my specs are

450 watt

fx-6100 clocked at 3.3

msi board (cant think of name)

In short, no that is not a good video card. At that price point, however, you can't expect top be able to max out games if you are running at any sort of decent resolution :( 

You are better off saving up your money and then buying a better card such as the 7870 or the new GTX 760 from nVidia ...

Wait, really? If a $90 card were capable of maxxing games, why would $400 (or $1000) graphics cards even exist?

What resolution are you playing at? If it's only 720p, on a TV or something, you'll be able to manage decent settings while keeping 60fps. But don't be expecting to max modern games.

Below 1080p you'll be running games fine but you will have to adjust your settings depending on each title. Up your budget or accept that you'll play games fine but not maxed.
