I have $120 and the choice between a 45$ a 65$ 7750 or an 80$ 640. The card is intended to be used in a old HP as a gaming card to be able to play DX9/10 games at high settings and playable frames. Id like to hold onto as much cash as I can and the requirements for any other card you may suggest is that it CANNOT have a 6 pin power connecter as im not interested in switching out the computer's PSU. O and the reason that the 640 is on the list is because it has a potentail secondary use as a physx card for my other computer while the amd cards dont have that ablity. So considering all this, witch card should I get?

you are asking a rhetorical question here mate. you are already hellbent on justifying the 640 despite the obvious performance gap between it and the 7750. by doing so you are leaving a lot of performance on the table. i'd rather let my main gpu handle physx or just turn it off altogether than pay an extra $90 just so that i can offload it to the gt640. for just a few extra bells and whistles...

get the 7750. there simply is no reason to give up the extra performance it provides considering that the sub $100 gpu is underpowered already. you need to squeeze out every ounce of performance to justify your purchase and the 7750 nicely fits the bill. prioritize speed more than gimmicks, bud.

the most powerfull and the best card from these 3 is the hd 7750..its one of the best card in till now among those which works without any pcie power connectors...best bang for the buck deal ..just grab a sapphire radeon hd 7750 1gb gddr5 one ...believe me,it will crush hd 6670 and 640 in performance

well my specs for the tower this is going into is a dual core amd athilon 4800+ and 4 gigs of ddr2 ram running off a 250watt. I know the 7750 will destroy the other 2 but like I said, im trying to save as much of the 120$ for some games as I can plus the 640 is in the list because it can help out my other system when im not using this one
