300 dollar budget for graphics card upgrade

right now im using a CM Storm Scout Mid Tower, with A Phenom II X4 965 BE, a GTX 560 SE, and OCZ ModXStream 700w psu. im looking to upgrade this gpu in this, keeping in mind that A: this is not my primary gaming pc (the current undergoing massive internal overhaul), so i want to play games well but im not looking to make my main rig obsolete (not possible seeing as the main rig is sli'd gtx 670s lol) :p B: the case only fits cards 10.6 inches and smaller. im upgrading this computer cause i lan frequently and i want decent specs and the 560 se is a little to underpowered to do what i want it to now.

things im looking at:

GTX 650 Ti Boost in SLI
GTX 760
Radeon HD 7790s in crossfire
GTX 660

which of these would be the better option? or if you have better suggestions, im all ears. i have people previously suggest the 7970, and i would be all for it if the card fit inside my case and it was in my price range ($300). the games i play: Crysis 3, Dead Space 3, Battlefield 3, StarCraft 2, etc.

You really want all the problems that can come with using a dual card config? Double the chance of a card failure, screen tearing, driver issues, some games unsupported etc etc?

Not to mention the additional power draw, extra heat.

If you want the best value get the 7950. This one is 10.5 inches and power goes to the top not rear, so will fit... Comes with games.

i actually heard that the gtx 650 ti boosts performed as well if not better then a single 670 for less then its price. i dont have the link to the article, but im going to look it up. also, most of the 7950s wont fit in my case either. they are just a tad too big. but im seriously considering the 760 now

well that really depends on the resolution you would be running. As far as I understand it the memory bandwidth handicap is crippling at higher resolutions and high levels of AA.

At low res and low AA they are probably not too far apart.

here is one of the articles ive read. i just really cant decide between the two 650 tis or the 760. >.< most seem really good. ugh lol :p

also i plan on playing at full HD (1080p) in most games, with the exception of Crysis 3 lol ill have to tack that down probably lol

well my gtx 670s sli'd never gave me issues, but i guess ill either go with the 760 or the 7950 u linked. i wasnt really thinking about the heat they would put out lol

^^ Never gave you issues with a full size case with great ventilation and a massive PSU etc. With very powerful cards the whole screen tearing thing is diminished sure. And driver problems / unsupported games really depends on what you play for sure.

No noise complaints either huh?

I think in a small enclosure the fans would spin higher with increased heat and make a good amount of noise too.
