I have been having a bit of a nightmare getting Dual Boot with Windows 7 and Debian/ and or Ubuntu. It all comes from the fact that I will not use any other configuration but RAID 0 with my 2 WD 150Gb Raptor drives.
Click here; this thread shows my current issues so I will not get into it.
This question is really in regards to question 4: Is it possible to have 99% of the total capacity of two (empty) hdd in a RAID 0 configuration? This would leave 1% space split between the two devices SDA and SDB. The idea would be to install a dedicated and NON-RAID boot partition on SDA (or SDB, w/e) so that I can finally install grub onto that dedicated boot partition.

EDIT: This is all in the context of only using the fakeraid Intel Rapid Storage screen and not to do with OS software raid configuration.
EDIT: My controller are the ICH8/9/10r.
