Computer was built in March 2012 and have had zero issues until recently.

Yesterday I opened the case of my computer and cleaned out the dust. Upon restarting it I noticed I didn't see the ASRock splash screen but otherwise it booted up as normal. Still, I wondered why I wasn't seeing the splash screen so I was going to check the BIOS settings, figuring there is a setting to switch the appearance of the splash screen on/off. To enter BIOS I restart my computer and press <F2> while it is booting but I get stuck at a blank screen. Then I have to press the restart button to get it to boot into Windows 7. I try pressing <Del> while it is booting and same result. Restart and press and hold <Del> gives same thing--blank screen and computer hung. If I restart and don't attempt to enter BIOS I get a blank screen until Windows 7 appears on screen. The boot time is the same as it was before the splash screen went missing.

I did some searching and some have said if you plug your USB keyboard into a USB 3.0 outlet you might get this problem of not being able to enter BIOS when pressing <F2> and/or <Del>. I checked and yes, I had my USB keyboard plugged into the 3.0 slot. Swapping it into a USB 2.0 slot has not solved the problem.

Another symptom, but unknown if it is related, is that my son is now complaining that he's not getting anywhere near the FPS (frames per second) that he used to get while playing Minecraft. He said he would usually get around 100 FPS and now he is down to 25 FPS (barely playable, he says.)

Specs:
Intel i7
16 GB RAM
Windows 7
Raedon 6870

I suppose my next move is to reset CMOS and/or check Dr. DeBug, but thought I'd ask the forum in the hopes someone else has seen this problem and has a solution.

Embarrassingly huge brain fart. After cleaning out the case when I hooked everything up I accidentally connected my monitor to the on-board graphics port on the ASRock motherboard. Today when I reset CMOS I was getting an A3/A6 error. I decided to remove and re-seat the graphics card. Hmmm....that pulled out of there real easy....because there is no DVI connector screwed into the back end of the graphics card!

Had to reset storage setting to AHCI in BIOS and all is well. Son is pleased as he is back over 100 FPS, actually is running around 160 FPS.
