Easily a GTX 760:

Just released and is great for getting great performance, at a low price.

If you don't mind going a little over, then a GTX 670 is even a little better:

Both will rock at that resolution of yours though.

A Radeon 7950 is definitely nothing to laugh at either, with 2 games added too I think:

Nvidia: 650ti boost, 660 or 760
AMD: 7850 or 7870

all of those cards should do good at that resolution.

the 760 was just released and looks pretty awesome for the money (~$250)

Depends on what you what games you play and how high the settings you want. If you want to max out games then it's an easy choice....760...hands down.

Nothing is better.

Sigh...no one ever just gives a straight answer.....I dont want anything that is remotely over 300 it HAS to be under 300......my specs are up to par so it wont bottle neck anything all I want is a gpu under 300 USD, if the 760 is better than the 660ti and is under 300 I would consider getting it. Havent really inspected the 700 series cards yet...

Sigh...why does know one listen when people tell him to get the 760. It is the best GPU under $350. And your asking for the best GPU under $300. Same answer as before. Get the 760. All the reviews are making AMD sweat. AMD has nothing to compete at that price point.

I'm giving an answer that is by far the best. The 760 is awesome. Anyone that owns a 660ti or 7950 knows that and hates the 760 (that includes me).

At OP's resolution, the 760 will max out his/her games. And it's only $250....it pulls my hair out. So cheap.

The GTX 760 really is a sweet card. It provides really accessible high-performance.

There's even a review on it on Toms, if you don't believe us.

You listed a lot of cards. You should just give a definitive answer. And now.. we know that answer. It's not even a guessing game.

you're playing at 1680x1050.

what's the rest of your hardware?

why buy something the machine can't support?

why spend $300 just because you have it?

Try to save some face. But it's clear ...760 is the best under $300.
