Help building a HTPC

Hi guys

I upgraded a bunch of stuff for my pc and am left with alot of left over components,

My main question is does a H61M USB3 B3 work with a i3 3220 Dual Core CPU.

Are they good enough for XBMC? Im looking for a cheap but fast option.

I got 8 gig Ram and a spare 1TB Hard Drive

As stated above, the H61 chipset motherboard will likely work with an Ivy Bridge CPU if you update the BIOS. However, you will need to 1st install a CPU that is compatible with the motherboard so that the computer can boot up. That means you will also need to buy a Sandy Bridge CPU too.

You are simply better off buying a H77 chipset motherboard to begin with.
