I am using a newly built computer (less than a month old) and am having some issues with network connectivity. First off, here are my specs.
Asrock z77 eXtreme4 MoBO
8GB DDR3 1600 G.Skill Ripjaws
3.2 i5 quad
Asus PCI-E-N15 Wireless Adapter
630W Corsair PSU
500GB WD Black HDD
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Now on to my issue.
I noticed immediately that my mapped network drives on this computer disconnect quite frequently whether hardwired or going wireless. I turned off power saving features in Device Manager on both network devices. I also updated the drivers of every component in the system and updated the bios of the MoBo.
I have also tested every cable and port between this computer and the server here at work.
While on my Wireless card when I run a speedtest I get about 7-8 Mbps even though im connected via wireless n on a fiber connection.
Does anyone have any ideas as to where I might look from here?
