Hello,

Looking to buy a new keyboard for gaming.
Budget is pretty generous, but cheaper is always better but I am not afraid to spend more if the quality is there.

I had an old Logitech keyboard, 10+ years, and it finally died. The keys were not mechanical but they had an almost mechanical feel, light pressure and a definite lump/feedback when the keypress was made. (Make sense I hope).

I'd like to stay with Logitech, but it is not 100% required.

Wants:
Good key feel, light pressure.
Backlighting if possible
LCD screen if possible
100% programmable
Easy profile switching

Don't want loud clicking with the keys though.

I see many keyboards, especially the G19 series, somewhat make this criteria, but what I REALLY want is more than just some special function keys that can be programmed.

If I want the "Z" key to be "alt-7" in a certain app/game, then I want to be able to program that.
If I want the "F" key to run a short macro, then I want to be able to do that.
Etc....

This is the part I am finding hard to find, or at least it is unclear in the products I have reviewed.

Feedback appreciated.

Thanks,

**EDIT**
I just noticed the peripheral forum, darn. If a mod wants to move it feel free.

Are keys other than the 'special' keys on the left side programmable?
To be honest being able to program/macro the keys around WASD would be far more useful IMHO.

I bought the G510 and the keys seem hard to press as compared to my old keyboard.

No they are not
