So, I format my laptop for it was getting slow and annoying with all the stuff I download but don't remember what they were.

I installed the window 7 and all the necessary driver for it to functions and I've been doing fine for 4weeks

But, recently I wanted to watch a movie, and I connected my HDMI with our TV.
Here I started to see problem. The display works just fine through the TV, but the sound will come from the computer speaker. I checked if graphic card driver was wrong so I reinstalled the most recent driver from NIVADA. And it still won't fix. Any help??

MY computer is : http://www.cnet.com/laptops/dell-studio-xps-x1340/4507-3121_7-33695977.html

here is the specs

Have you selected the video card HDMI as the audio device?

What I do on my is to set the HDMI as the default audio device. That way, anytime you plug the hdmi it will be used for audio. unplug it and it will use speakers or headphone jack instead.

Yes, but the problem is the audio won't detect the sound. From the control panel>sound there is no audio device for HDMI output when it was connected
