Lenovo Y500 Downgrade to Windows 7

I just bought a Lenovo Y500 laptop 2 days ago and I want to downgrade to Windows 7. I have a retail copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (x64). What will I have to do to downgrade to Windows 7 without any problems.

My Lenovo Y500 specs:
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT750M 2GB GDDR5
CPU: 3rd Gen-Intel Core i7 2.4GHz
Storage: 1TB HDD
Optical: DVD Burner
RAM: 8GB of Memory 1600MHz

Why not just install Start 8 or Classic Shell to make Win 8 look and function like a better, faster version of Windows 7?

To downgrade you will have to reformat the drive and install Win 7, possibly install drivers, etc..

Lets say that I have all the settings in the BIOS adjustment and try to install Windows 7 and it does not end well. How would I recover my image backup of Windows 8 back into my computer (back to factory settings)?
