Is the Seasonic SS-560KM 560W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91, 80Plus Gold Certified Power Supply a smart buy for the following build?

GPU: geforce GTX660 2GB
CPU: Intel Core i5-3350P
RAM: 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600 SDRAM
MOBO: gigabyte Z77X-D3H
FANS: Hyper 212 EVO + 3 case
HDD: WD 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA 6.0Gb/s
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 128GB
one 24x DVD burner

-and if the Seasonic SS-560KM is adequate for this build, is there any room left in the power budget to add additional expansion cards at a later time?

Solution
Its more than sufficient for that single card build, the GTX 660 only requires a 450w PSU, although for two cards, I'd be tempted to up it to 600-650w for absolute peace of mind for later expansion. It always a good idea to have some excess to avoid running the PSU at full load to extend its life.

Assuming of course, that by expansion cards, you mean a second gtx 660

Sounds reasonable. I've read that this seasonic power supply is really overbuilt; but I always feel as if though I should overshoot my power requirements by a substantial margin in case I want to upgrade and add components later on.

-Thanks

These articles demonstrate how overbuilt the supply really is, btw:

Nice chart!

I notice that the two most popular free CPU power calculators don't seem to really agree with each other very well. The ASUS calculator (http://support.asus.com/powersupply.aspx) tends to estimate a bit high and the OuterVision Extreme calculator (http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp) seems to estimate a bit low. It's kind of baffling.

After reviewing the excellent chart provided by SR-71 Blackbird, one could conclude that even though a high quality 560W Seasonic psu can definitely cover the suggested system build, it doesn't seem to leave a comfortable amount of wiggle room for a worthwhile graphics card upgrade in the future. Since it turns out that you can buy a seasonic x650 gold (extremely efficient at low loads) for almost exactly the same price as the 560 watt model, the choice of the 650 watt seasonic is a no brainer.
