Radeon HD 7970 or wait for 8000 series?

Was looking to replace my 6770 crossfire setup and at the moment can get a sapphire 7970 for $330 and 310 after rebate, should i get it or wait until the next gen 8000 cards come out and get something like a 8870 or 8950/8970? Expect pricing of the 8000 cards are like $600 for the 8970 and i think little under $500 for the 8950 if pricing is right

If you can't wait then sure why not, i'll wait if its not urgent. But don't put those bad boys to waste, OC them to max to see what it is really capable of if you haven't already.

Valid point, ill wait until they release and make a decision then, if anything there will still be 7970s out lol

Not exactly sure on how to OC my gpus but wouldnt hurt to try, any recommendations on where to start with a gpu OC?

Best thing out there for OC'ing. My suggestion after reading some guides around the web do small increments while running furmark or MSI Kombustor to check for stability.
