On startup computer does not have a boot menu/bios button

I am trying to install Windows 7 on a friend's hard drive with a disc but whenever i boot up his computer there is no "F12 for Boot menu" or anything so I cannot set it to boot from the disc. Any one know how to fix this?

More about startup computer boot menu bios button
  1. you might have to rapidly hit f12 when its booting up.
  2. Try hitting del key or f2 or f12, whatever the key is. Also, do you see a picture during startup? Insteadof the usual? Probably hehas full screen logo enabled. That is in bios also
