I followed the instructions on this page about cascading routers LAN to LAN.

It seemed simple enough and it doesn't seem like many settings need to be changed. However, I've noticed that perhaps my secondary router is not connecting to the internet. For instance, when I choose to check for updates, it fails to connect whereas the primary router has no problems with this.
Also, I noticed under the diagnostics section of the secondary router that the IPv4 address is 0.0.0.0 whereas the one for the primary router has an actual address. Releasing and renewing the address on the secondary router via the software doesn't result in a new IP address.
I followed all the steps in the link above. Any ideas what's wrong?
