A child was messing with my laptop keys for a split second, now the volume bar keeps popping up on its own and the volume slider keeps going up on its own to the max volume as well. Occasionally my WiFi will disable itself. And the screen keeps going from dim to bright on its own. Sometimes the mouse will lock up and I have to hold ctrl alt delete to move it again. I tried doing a system restore but that didn't fix it. I read in another forum some people saying the problem has something to do with static building up in the motherboard or something and all you have to do is unplug your laptop from the cord and remove the battery and turn it back on without the battery, however the battery on my laptop is non removable. I have a Samsung QX44 laptop and it is Windows 7. Please help

Maybe the little squirt got something IN your laptop (like a small liquid spill or??) and now it is causing the wifi and volume 'buttons' to make contact. You might be looking at taking it in or filing a warranty claim so it can be taken apart...
That's my best guess since you've reinstalled

I don't think so. No liquids were around my laptop or involved in the incident, I've never had a liquid spill on my laptop. It was just a bunch of random keys being pressed at the same time.

If you've reinstalled Windows (reinstall over the top or wipe and reinstall?) and it's still doing it, that points to hardware.

For example... if you're car is making a knocking noise and you're low on gas but you fill the tank and it's still knocking, that means that gas wasn't the problem... In this case, Windows = gas...
