I just bought a Asus Xonar DG audio card form newegg, i have always just used the onbord audio but i decided to try out a Audio card for the first time. i installed the card and drivers from the CD that was provided with the card. as the download was going through the install i stopped at the end and said "Please Plug-In your ASUS Xonar DG Audio Device" it was correctly plugged in a flush with the case. I canceled the install and got the drivers from the asus website.

After installing correctly i pluged my Astro gaming headsets in the back port and tried listening to some music. the sound was very crackly and distorted, the music was louder then the lyrics. the optical port sound fine with my sterio but the headphone back panel jack was horrible sounding. the FP headphone jack sound was perfectly fine but only when i wiggled the jack around, but i think thats my FP port messed up.

i did disable the onbord sound and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and still sounds horrible. i looked on a bunch of forums but haven't found anyone with a similar problem. Did i possible get a bad card from newegg or did i do something wrong? any help would be greatly apperciated
