will this be able to run modern games like planet side 2, total war shogun 3, ect on height/ultra settings getting good FPS?

I would get Radeon graphics. The next two consoles are going to be using it. Games are going to made in favor of it.

Are you going for SLI? If yes don't skimp on the 80+ Gold PSU, anyway if not still go for around 600W 80+ Gold.750W is too much if you are not going SLI.

Get the combo deal on Newegg with the i5 4670k [Here]

With the money you save on that you can invest it and save up more on a better GPU possibly 770 or 7970 can't go wrong with either of them.
