No, but with all CPUs, as with all DRAM, some come off the line stronger or weaker than others........Asus just did sort of a study on the 4770K CPus and their findings were that only about 15% could hit 4.8GHz or so, about 30% of all could hit 4.7GHz, etc, etc and it's true of many components - you might see it referred to as 'luck of the draw' or 'luck of the silicon'

Believe GSkill is biggest selling these days, and has leaned towards high performance for years...At the recent Computex show they set a number of records, primarily with the Trident line....I 've been using them for about 6 years, and volunteer at their forums, doing support and working as an Admin

The voltage is how much power the sticks use to run, JEDEC Standard for DDR3 calls for 1.5, the higher voltages are normally sticks that are higher freq that call for a CPU OC and helps keep the stick's voltage is a balance with the MC (memory controllers) voltage

Its easy to fix this, nothing to do with BIOS. please note that Before u flash the BIOS put the TPU and EPU switches in to OFF state. After that Flash the BIOS and restart the PC and u will see RAMs are in 1333. Shutdown the computer and put the TPU and EPU switches to ON state. Restart the computer and you will see that the CPU is overclocked and RAM is gone to something like 1584. u won't get the 1600 RAM speed because when the CPU gets overclocked the RAM speed will be lowered some little amount. I hope u guys will be happy to here this. I hope that I help u to fix this issue. Asus is a good MB company.
