Too many fans

My CPU was showing to be 57 C in BIOS, and my case had only 2 fans, so I thought- I will add more fans. The Fan Expert software requires 4 pin fans to work, so I am not using it, because those were too expansive. So I bought 4 more Cooler Master 120 mm fans. They are very pretty. I got 2 red, blue and green and now my computer looks like Christmas tree (too bad I am not see it all the time under the desk). The problem is... The fans are loud. The motherboard has 4 fan ports, I connected 2 more fans to ports I have left and 2 fans to the PSU (6 fans all together). New fans run at full speed as Fan Expert can not control 3 pin fans. And it is loud. What should I do now? I am thinking to disable 2 out of 4 new fans. If there was a controller that would have on/off switch and speed control, but again- aren't they need 4 pins to return speed command to the fan? Also I do not have a slot on the front of computer due to the card reader- may be something that goes in to PCIE slots? I would use it when I play game, and turn it down/off when I don't. The temperature of CPU in BIOS is 53 C with 4 fans- not much improvement, also it shows 39 C under AI Suit. It is strange software- it also shows different fan speeds than BIOS. Any advice? Thank you.

What will I do with these fans- they were like $8 each. I don't think I can return them- there is no way to seal the package as if it was new. It was very hard to screw them in- there will be marks on the fans from the screws making it way in... But this sound... I lieved for 6 years with very bad fan that would constantly vibrate and make noise. This computer was soooo quiet with 2 fans. Now I can not concentrate on my work or think straight, because of this sound- feels like it louder than my thoughts. FFfffffffffffffffff- in my head. I did not know it can be so disturbing- makes me want to turn it off all the time.

Thank you for the links. I find this being interesting, also I am not sure how it works: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12489/bus-249/Sunbeam... It also out of stock, but it should convert 3 pins fans in to regularized by the PWM signal from the Motherboard. Also I can not by controller for each fan...

Hmm. Looks like it will draw power from the mobo, and control two fans itself. Could you link me to these fans that you have installed?

Thanks for reply. It still loud. Here is the link to red fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
They are nice loking fans. May be I should just keep 2- the once connected to the motherboard. Or- may be I should spend more money and buy 2 PWM fans? It just that I did not stop spending money on this computer- it needs something all the time. filters, cables, adapters...

I see. What I did to keep my LEDs and system quite was two LED fans for the front and side and two powerful, quiet fans for the rear that are controllable, because the fan that came with my case is uncontrollable and I liked the look of the pretty lights
Maybe you could use some nice Headphones to block out the sound? I'm running out of ideas.

Edit: What is your CPU cooler?

The CPU cooler is stock that came with Haswel. I do not understand why it shows 53C in BIOS and 39 in AI Suit. Somebody told me the sensors are different locating, one is at the core another at the socket, but I doubt there is more than one sensor- it is not nuclear reactor, after all. Also I do not understand why fans that came with case speed stated as ~1800 rpm in BIOS but ~400 in AI Suit. One is 80 mm another is 200 mm (front fan), and both shown near 400 rpm in AI Suit, while 2 new fans connected to motherboard shown at ~1800 rpm everywhere.

Front and rear fans 3 pins as well. Should I replace rear 88 mm with PWM 88 mm, and add 2 more PWM, and get rid of leads fans? The computer is under the desk any way. But looks very pretty now when I go there. lol.

The CPU should have a sensor for each core, try using core temp, or real temp (http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/) to monitor temperatures. The best way to cool your CPU would be to buy an after market cooler. Maybe a cooler master hyper 212 evo.

The 80mm fans are likely to be making the most noise, so you could replace them. Do you use the card reader a lot? Would you be able to remove it to add fan control instead?

The best solutions for you would be the ones that suit you best. So you may end up finding your own.

Actually- the 88 mm fan that I had with case was making no noise. May be I do not need to replace it. You said 80 mm. I thought it is 88. This is what I found, was confused if this is the same size as I had. http://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-PWM-80mm-Case-Fan/dp/B002K... They have the same brand 90 mm and 120 mm (I think- size numbers not clear). I liked the price but not sure if it will be quiet.

I have seen fan controllers that have card reader on it. Yes, I do need card reader or camera/pictures. Funny thing- I noted today that card reader got disconnected or led on it die, when I installed fans- see no led on it working.
