Gaming PC components compatibility

Hey Guys, I'm looking at buying and building a gaming rig. I just have a couple of question, that I can't find the answer to on the net. Anyway so here are the components I'm looking to buy for the PC:

CPU: AMD FX-8350
CPU Cooling: Corsair H60
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 770 SuperClocked
Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
Boot Drive: Samsung 840 250GB SSD
Storage Drive: 1TB Barracuda
Optical drive: LG Electronics 12x Blue-Ray combo
Wifi card: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 N900 450Mbps/5Ghz
Power supply: Corsair Professional Series HX 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold
Case: Antec P280

Now my questions:

1. Will I need to update my motherboards BIOS, to use the FX-8350?

2. Will my power supply be able to handle all this gear?

Thanks for reading :D looking forwards to a response..

  1. Best answer

    nice build :)
  2. Thanks you for answering :)
  3. 1) No. The board is AM3+ socket so it should work with any FX CPU right out of the box
    2) With ease! A 600W PSU can handle that build
  4. Yeah, I know that it is a AM3+ motherboard, so it should work. But other motherboards such as the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5, needs an updated BIOS to work with AM3+ CPUs.
